My Love, My Life will be a for-profit, perfect-bound A5 zine, and roughly 130 pages in length.
General Zine FAQ
What is a Zine?
A Fanzine is a booklet of fan-made content revolving around a certain fandom, ship, theme, or even all three! “Fanzine” is a word that derives from “Magazine” and is usually sold either for profit or for charity. Zines are usually sold with a variety of bundle options, with each bundle coming with different amounts of merchandise including, but not limited to, prints, charms, and stickers.
How will we be communicating with everyone?
The majority of our communication will be done through our Discord server, due to the organization opportunities Discord offers and the ability to have everyone in one place to minimize the risk of missing someone when announcing important information.
What ships are allowed?
All ships are allowed in the zine except Adult x current minor. This includes the bonus NSFW mini-zine. We welcome rare pairs, poly ships, and ships beyond the most common! In order to promote ship variety, we will be limiting content to 4 pieces (artwork and/or fics) per ship.
Are platonic soulmates allowed?
Yes! We will be sticking to the no adult x canon minor rule though, in order to be consistent and simplify things.
What kind of Soulmate AUs are we looking for?
Any AU, sky’s the limit! Whether you have a common AU you adore, or your own unique twist, as long as you feel comfortable portraying it in your selected medium, you’re welcome to include it in the zine!
Collaboration
Collaboration will involve an artist working with an author to create either a series of smaller artworks or a single, one-page piece to supplement the fic being written.
How long will fics be in the zine?
We’re expecting a range of 2k-4k words from our accepted authors!
For the NSFW Mini-zine, are we allowing ships of current students?
Yes, but all characters depicted in the mini-zine will be aged up to at least 18 years old! We continue to request no Teacher x Student relationships.

What up I’m Ellie, I’m 21, and I never learned how to fucking introduce myself without an outdated vine reference!
With that out of the way, hi everyone! Like I said, my name’s Ellie and I’m a 21 year old genderqueer mess. I’ve been a part of several zines (like Kings On Ice as a writer as well as Take My Hand, I Am Here, I Am Me, BNHA Marriage Zine, and Hero Anlysis: Deku Edition as a mod! I’ve always loved soulmate AUs, in fact, one of the first fics I posted on AO3 was a soulmate AU! It’s not finished yet because I’ve lost my creative spark for it, but I hope to finish it one day soon! Running this zine with my own soulmate makes me super excited to see what kind of creations this zine will bring!

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, hello, everyone! I’m Nicolette. I’m 21 (at long last), I have two fur children, and I’m an aspiring writer.
For this part of my introduction, I wanted to let you guys know that this is not my first rodeo, so no need to worry! I’ve been a part of a handful of zines. As a writer, I’ve participated in Crystalline, and Kings On Ice. As a mod, I’m helping out with BNHA Dadzawa and Hero Analysis: Deku Edition. However, this is my first time being the creator of a zine, so I’m excited!
I adore soulmate AUs. They always make me smile, and I love seeing the hundreds of different ways people write about two people destined for each other coming together. Having found my own soulmate, it always warms my heart to watch two characters fall in love. I’m looking forward to all the wonderful stories and artworks that will be part of this project!

I’ve been a Bookkeeper for a successful restaurant since 2014, and handle/balance between $15,000-$20,000 on any given night so I’ve got the money thing under control. When it comes to modding, I’m a big proponent of transparency and supporting other projects, and am a big supporter of fandom positivity in general. There’s enough hatred in the world already, no need to carry it over to fandom spaces which are supposed to be fun! If y'all ever have any questions about how I’m handling/organizing finances, I’ll be more than happy to show you and explain! I’ve been modding for Take My Hand, Boku no Birthday, and Aite zines and I run the tumblr side of KiriBakuDeku Week. I have always had a decent handle on organization, so I promise to do my best here, too 💪💪💪

I’m a publishing major, writer, and avid reader! I absolutely adore Soulmate AUs (as my endlessly growing list of fics with this theme will tell you) and I’m here to do my best to help make this zine a success! This is my first time being a mod, but I’ve been a contributor in several zines before and have organized fandom events such as Fic Writers Week and the first BakuTodo Week 2018.

I suppose I’ve dabbled in a bit of everything from writing to art and design and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Before I started college for archaeology, I worked doing screen printing, embroidery, and graphic design. I’m new to modding and relatively new to the BNHA fandom, but I’m eager to do everything I can to help see this zine come to fruition! I’ve been a volunteer event organizer in the past and I ran my own small business for a number of years, so I really have done a bit of everything. I can’t wait to learn even more and contribute every patchwork piece of experience I have!
